Welcome to
The
PubWorks
Tracker, Tracker Software Corporation’s
quarterly newsletter for all things PubWorks.
We’ve been busy, very busy and I know you have
been busy too because the summer represents the busy season for
Public Works agencies across the US and Canada.
For us, we’ve been busy enhancing our product, servicing our
customers and bringing new customers on line. Mix in a couple of
trade shows and you get a very busy summer indeed.
On the product side, we’ve been working on the interaction
between the MapViewer (for GIS integration), the Asset Data
Collector (for in-the-field inventory and inspection) and our
Work Orders module (for planning and preventative maintenance).
We think that there’s an excellent opportunity to address your planned and
preventative maintenance needs for things like Sign
Retro-Reflectivity. As our economy threatens to weaken, budgets
will shrink and the need for tighter control of resources will
increase. Add to that unfunded mandates and ever-increasing
expectations from the public and you’ll have your work cut out
for you.
We’re creating a better management tool that integrates a number of key elements for
asset and resource managers. Please explore the details in
the Product Lineup section.
Then there’s the new business we are very excited about winning.
In the US and Canada, PubWorks continues to enjoy
success and the agencies that buy it rejoice in its power,
simplicity and cost effectiveness. Please read about it the
New Business section.
Legal issues can be sticky; in our first Around the Industry piece, Greg
Mebel discovers how customers used PubWorks to
protect themselves in a variety of legal actions.
FEMA reimbursements are more easily attained if good tracking is employed. Greg Mebel
documents, in our second Around the Industry article, the Disaster
recovery efforts in the aftermath of the 2008
hurricane season – and how PubWorks turns out to be a terrific tool when it comes to
dealing with state and federal emergency management agencies.
Lastly, please don’t overlook our sections on Notable & Quotable and
Upcoming Events. All of
these sections carry interesting and useful information for
customers and prospects alike!
Thanks for reading The Tracker – I look forward to hearing from
you.
All the Best,
Peter Anzalone
