Here in central Colorado we’ve enjoyed a
snowy, cold and joyous Christmas and New Year holiday – we
sincerely hope you had a great Holiday!
As many of you begin a new fiscal year, now’s
an excellent time to start thinking about ways to overcome the
budget cuts and shortfalls that might have stymied some of your
key projects or initiatives.
In our Around the Industry piece, Greg
Mebel has surveyed the industry and has discovered how some
creative folks are getting the money they need to fund
projects and purchases outside the scope of their Public Works
budget.
In a sidebar piece, Greg reveals a handful of
specific techniques used by one creative Public Works
director to generate cash to cover a variety of services his
department renders.
The last quarter of 2007 kept us very busy
with new business – see the story highlighting some new
PubWorks customers – and 2008 will be quite exciting
especially when you consider the set of program enhancements we
have planned.
