Upcoming Events
We’re going to Rapid City, South Dakota and Coeur
d’Alene, Idaho this fall for two conferences that
should be interesting and informative.
On October 25th and 26th, we’ll be at the
2006 Annual Local Road Coordinators’ Conference
in Rapid City, South Dakota. This conference is
sponsored FHWA Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP)
and Transportation Technology Transfer Centers of
Colorado, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and
Wyoming. Asset management and diesel fuel
presentation make up the bulk of the conference
content.
From November 8th through the 11th, we will be
attending the 78th
Annual Idaho Association of Highway Districts
Convention. The convention will be held at the Coeur
D'Alene Resort in beautiful (you should see the
pictures) Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Asset management
presentations are on the agenda as well as a special
workshop by PubWorks customer Dan
Copeland of Bannock County Idaho and Stephan
Freiburger, PE of Paragon Engineers. The workshop
will discuss all aspects of creating using, and
updating transportation plans, including project
cost Tracking. This workshop should prove very
interesting to highway departments who use these
plans as part of their budgeting process.
