Product News
We’ve been very
busy adding new features and enhancements to
PubWorks – enhancements that make
PubWorks more useful to you.
These
enhancements are available now and we will be happy
to help you get them installed. As always, new
modules are fully integrated with the previous
version of PubWorks providing you with
seamless access to new and better ways of looking at
your data and are provided at no extra charge to
customers with current support contracts.
Released in late
autumn 2005, the Crews feature enables
PubWorks users to establish work crews (sets
of employees, equipment and materials) and to input
work data for the entire crew on a single screen
called the Crew Activity. Crew Activities offer the
flexibility to add, modify and remove crew resources
(employees, equipment and materials) as needed and
very easily.
We have added a
module to help users track Purchase Orders and
Vouchers. This new module gives you that added
capability of tracking expenses and budget items
that are critical to your operation’s management.
We’d like to thank Tracy Konik of Huron
County, Ohio for her help in making these
modules what they are today.
Additionally we
have added a feature called Documents and Notes to
allow you to attach any number or type of files
(photos, spreadsheets, faxes, etc.) and free-form
notes to any record in your PubWorks
database. Document and note records are
automatically date-stamped to provide a
chronological view of activities and events as they
relate to your operation. This new feature allows
you to supplement the work maintenance history kept
by PubWorks by linking it to any other
type of data that needs to be associated. For
example, attach a resume to an Employee's record,
attach before and after photographs of a Project
your department has executed, attach
letters/faxes/emails to a Service Call.
Powerful
enhancements are planned for 2006 so please keep
your eye on the PubWorks Tracker for
more information. If you have any product
enhancement ideas, we’d love to hear about them –
please contact
